Knitting 101

The women of our church are contributing hand-knitted squares to Lily*, an organization supplying blankets to desperate Syrian refugee children.  Recently my husband said, “If I knew how to knit I would make some squares.”  So I took him at his word and last night conducted his first knitting lesson.

I snapped candid shots throughout the experience, and am posting two here, one taken at the beginning of the lesson and one toward the end. He successfully completed three rows by the hardest, and says he intends to knit another three this evening.  Good job, Grampa!
