Evidently Old Man Winter invited his accomplice, Jack Frost,
to visit us last night. This
morning we woke to overlapping strokes of delicate, frozen crystal hoarfrost (also
known as fern frost or ice flowers) covering our bedroom windows. The silvery display shone with aesthetic
allure, a wintry gift inspiring gratitude for its simple elegance as well as
the comfort of our warm house.
