The brash yellow blankets of marsh marigolds have disappeared,
leaving as suddenly as they came. Now plum, purple, and lavender blossoms are sprinkled everywhere - royal
colors in the ancient world, reserved for the clothing of the elite because of rarity. While walking the lakeside road, I snapped pictures
of nature’s current spring monarchy proudly wearing these elegant hues. Here they are.
