Tea Time
Tea, anyone? Mint (in the small flowery teapot) or orange spice (in the tall porcelain one)? Or would you prefer fresh green lemonade served from an antique etched glass pitcher?!
Today as part of Josie’s third birthday celebration we had a tea party complete with dress-up clothes (hats, scarves, boas, gaudy necklaces, and a tiara for Josie), fine china and stemmed glassware, flowery napkins, and of course a variety of traditional, prettily displayed finger foods. She looked quite grown-up after yesterday’s new haircut, and took the whole event in stride as if she were Alice in Wonderland and having a tea party was - of course - the expected activity-du-jour.
