As the sun made ready to drop behind the trees this evening,
I grabbed my phone to record a picture of the golden sky. Even as I returned to my project in the kitchen (making nut granola), I felt
compelled to go back to the window for a second look.
I ended up snapping successive shots during the next couple
of minutes to capture first one, then two smaller sun-offspring that seemed to be falling into the
trees at the same rate of speed as their parent.
There must have been an explanation for this, and yet I honestly didn’t
want to spoil the magic and beauty of the moment with technical reasoning from some textbook. I preferred the experience. The sheer awesomeness of it.
