I laid on the pier, back against wood and toes dangling in
the water, as Poseidon and Helios rode ethereal cloud-chariots suspended in an
azure sky. Their extended cotton-arms
dangled a fiery sun above aqueous shimmers, lowering it gradually until it extinguished
in blinding waves. Once light departed
they also dissolved in a great sea of gray powder puff clouds, and night fell.
