A southern gospel quartet performed at church tonight, The Taylors from
North Carolina - four talented vocalists who enchanted their audience with musical excellence coupled
with upbeat excitement and a strong message of hope. Although
hearing issues kept me from fully participating, their addictive energy lifted
me to a higher plane, almost like surfing on a wave of four-part harmony.
When I think of their travel schedule and the rigors of
continual performance, I marvel at their vision. It is no small thing to sell
out to a touring lifestyle, especially when income is spotty. I wonder what it would be like to live
as they do - to always be on-the-move, constantly inserting themselves in
others lives and injecting doses of encouragement.
