To my knowledge, none of our family members have ventured into the lake beyond mid-September – the water is just to COLD (brrrrr) – and definitely not in October. But yesterday’s unseasonably summery temperatures enticed two little girls onto the pier, and the water magnetized them from that vantage point! They ended up squealing down the kiddie slide into the water (and back up the ladder, and down-and-up repeatedly) with as much, or more, avid enthusiasm as what they displayed a couple of months previous when the water was warmer and much less invigorating!
