Lanterns

Soupy, wet weather kept me inside all day, so I ended up daydreaming about a new craft project and experimenting with materials at hand. Disposable aluminum cookie sheets + push pins + empty tuna cans + a hot glue gun + pieces of thin wire + votive candles + a little time and imagination = lantern homes for Tinkerbelle!

Pixie dust now shines through paisley pinholes in two aluminum lanterns, casting a magical glow.  This should be an excellent project for the next Fancy Day!  I can envision custom-designed lanterns parading on Clara’s fireplace mantel in December, twinkling just above a long row of stockings and a plate of Santa’s cookies on the hearth…
